Democratic Primaries

(42,862 posts)Running "as-a" Democrat is NOT the same thing as actually "being-a" Democrat. He and his supporters like to repeat those two words often... reminding us that he's running "as a" Democrat.
The word itself functions as a preposition and a quick check with the Google's dictionary, we see that "as" (in this context) only means "similar" (in the guise of; with the appearance of; so as to appear to be; etc.)
I simply cannot support anyone who refuses to fully embrace the Democratic party, and commit to the Democratic party in a lifelong, sincere and meaningful way. Anyone who chooses to play a role, and who refuses to pledge and dedicate themselves (permanently) to the Democratic party is NOT someone who deserves my vote.
I know that I speak for millions of loyal, lifelong, stalwart, and dedicated Democrats who will never vote for a Socialist who has such open contempt and hostility for Democrats and the Democratic party. This is why a Socialist running "as a" Democrat will never be our party's nominee.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
