Democratic Primaries

(73,558 posts)I am the product of an extended Irish-American family. We call all Democrats "Good Democrats" by habit. Thus, when I have face-to-face conversations with others about a politician, I always refer to them as a "Good Democrat." It is my error to assume that translates on the internet, to those unfamiliar with this.
My younger son, a Good Democrat, handily won his 2018 election for local office, getting exactly 109 times as many votes than his opponent. I'm proud of him, and respect his opinions. He is not sure why I am such a strong supporter of Alexandria -- I joined her campaign when it first started, and was not being taken seriously by many. He does not think she is as powerful as I do .....which I believe is in large part due to age. Old people like myself tend to look at the members of the younger generations to identify future leadership, and I view her in that exact manner. Still, I am currently beginning work on two other congressional contests in my state, including the district I live in (for re-election) and another nearby (to unseat a toxic republican).
I hope that you are enjoying the impeachment hearings. They are providing stark evidence that our nation is at a point where we cannot be divided as we approach 2020. We need to be supporting the Good Democrat we nominate for president, and the Good Democrats running for the House, Senate, state and local offices.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
