2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Do you think Bernie's campaign downloaded sensitive Clinton voter data? [View all]EndElectoral
(4,213 posts)1. Did the DNC fail to protect the data?
2. Did those accessible actually have permissions to save and download data or just access/view it?
3. Has a dump been done by the vendor to track data that was accessed improperly by all campaigns?
4. Did the firewall problem allow people outside of campaigns to access data?
5. Is it necessary to have an independent audit of the vendor to get to the truth?
In all fairness I believe the Sanders campaign jumped the gun in firing the campaign data director until a thorough audit could occur, rather than simply suspending him pending review.
The DNC dramatically overreacted before an audit occurred punishing an entire campaign without any proof except anecdotal reporting.
Hillary supporters are happy. Sanders supporters are agitated. O'Malley supporters are silent.
Not the finest moment in terms of justice for the Democratic party. Even this poll is an opinion of people who are reliant on a media which doesn't have much in the way of the questions above, but are generally relying on favorite candidate or incomplete news coverage.
