LANSING, MI — Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm is taking on a new role that could see her act as a campaign surrogate for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

NEW GIG: Granholm, who was co-chairing a major super PAC supporting Clinton, has resigned and joined another pro-Hillary Group that can coordinate with her campaign. It's called Correct the Record............

The new role positions Granholm for "a potentially larger role with the Democratic Party down the road," according to the New York Times, and means she can act as a surrogate to "vouch for Mrs. Clinton in an increasingly contentious campaign.".................

And and Editorial she recently wrote:

New carbon rules can propel innovation, jobs

Jennifer Granholm, Detroit Free Press guest writer 2:16 p.m. EDT August 17, 2015

With President Barack Obama’s Clean Power Plan, the U.S. has taken its biggest step yet to combat climate change. But equally important is how this plan provides an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen the American economy and usher our energy system into the 21st Century.

Some climate-change deniers in Congress are trying to paint these environmental safeguards as nothing but regulatory red tape. But they have missed a key piece of the puzzle: The Clean Power Plan gives states the flexibility they need to reduce carbon pollution while investing in renewable energy. If states choose well, those investments could lay the foundation for robust economic growth across decades.

Having served as Michigan’s governor during the worst economic downturn in generations, I know that supporting clean energy can create stable, well-paying jobs for Americans.

No state was hit harder than Michigan during the Great Recession. Suppliers to the auto industry went bankrupt, and manufacturing jobs fell away and put entire communities out of work. The auto industry was melting down. We needed new industries and sectors to put Michiganders back to work. Our only choice was to look forward.......................

And for your viewing enjoyment
I really enjoyed her speech. She was on FIRE--really digging into Mitt R.--and Pres. Obama saving the auto industry!
