The media were awful. Always the double standard, the twisting of positives to negatives and the incessant "emails" and/or "Benghazi" sans facts but always with RW TPs, slants or outright smears.

The "alt-left" was no better. Hillary not only had to fight the constant stream of BS from the front but also the "rear guard actions" on her flank. And those same "alt-lefters" continue to press on here.

Much the same happened to Al Gore in 2000. But it was never quite so vicious - nor did Gore ever have a candidate who had never before been a Democrat challenge him in the Dem primaries so that the party itself became somewhat fractured.

In 2000, Nader at least was honest enough to challenge both major party candidates from outside. Still, I have never forgiven him for enabling the 2000 outcome. Nor will I ever forgive Stein for her 2016 attacks that were always more against Hillary than ever against Trump.
