I just posted this on my Facebook timeline: [View all]

Donald Trump's "sacrifices" are on my mind today. How can he compare his life of luxury with the pain of a family who has lost a son in action? How can anyone in good conscience say such a thing? I can find no possible way to forgive that comparison.

I do not normally post on FB about politics, but as a veteran (USAF 1965-69), I honor those who served in combat zones and their families who suffered from anxiety every day they were there. I did not see combat, but knew many who have died in action.

I find Donald Trump's stupid statements about his "sacrifices" to be insulting and beyond the pale. He has made no sacrifices whatsoever that compare to those a Gold Star family has made. I'm disgusted and am now dedicated to seeing that such a man never becomes President and Commander-in-Chief.

Now, I will return to avoiding politics on FB.
