In reply to the discussion: BERNIE SUPPORTERS MAJOR ALERT -- PUERTO RICO THEFT OF VOTES NOW [View all]Time for change
(13,714 posts)He is an ardent Bernie supporter, for much the same reasons that I am.
But in the videotape he tried to convince his audience to vote for Hillary in the GE if she is the nominee. He made some convincing arguments, mainly centered on the possibility of a Trump presidency, and I was beginning to feel a bit convinced.
But then the reality of the massive election fraud we've seen this primary season came back to me. Reich didn't even touch on that subject. It is a taboo subject, and almost nobody of any standing with our corporate "news" media will say anything about it.
I don't get it. I would love to talk with him about it, just to know what his thoughts are on it. Does he just shut it out of his mind because it is a taboo subject? Or is he fully aware of it, but doesn't think it is important enough to justify the possibility of a Trump presidency. Or does he just feel that it is not his area of expertise, so he won't talk about it?
I have never witnessed a presidential GE in my life where the phrase "lesser of two evils" comes more to mind (that is, if the two presumptive nominees are nominated and don't have to run against another viable candidate).
But election fraud is just too evil for me to stomach. Every other conceivable horror stems from it -- as during the Bush II presidency. I will not condone it -- instead I will hang on to the rapidly fading hope that we can re-establish some kind of democracy in this country.
