2016 Postmortem
Showing Original Post only (View all)Sanders to run on Green Party Ticket with Stein(?) [View all]
Before a rally in Santa Monica, Senator Bernie Sanders was asked by KABC-TV 7 News political reporter Elex Michaelson about the offer by Jill Stein, the Green Partys presumptive presidential nominee, for him to run with the Green Party. Sanders response left open the door to running as a Green. He could have easily rejected the offer of a Sanders-Stein ticket, instead he said: Right now, our goal is to win the Democratic nomination.
Speechless and horrified.

He should meet with Stein on June 15 and use it as leverage to force policy concessions

Don't be silly. Sanders has rejected the idea 100 times. He's just blowing off a stupid question.

Either Sanders is a man of honor whose word means someting, or he runs on the Green Ticket.
