Nothing Bernie does will put off his supporters here. But many of the folks that vote for him are actual Democrats. To them, this will proves that Bernie is in it for Bernie. His support among his average supporter will start shrinking.

The sight of the democratic party primary loser salivating at the chance to debate the Republican nominee in that attempt to marginalize the Democratic nominee is pathetic.
