(34,140 posts)I can't stop. I remember when she did this. I was so proud of her, she really did a stunning amount of work and became very knowledgeable. She stood up there with all those men looking at her and explained to them and us what she had found and what she suggested. She was BRAVE. I don't remember the dates but I think that Rush was fairly new and there was a lot of "How dare she?" and "When did the American people elect her?", lots of jibes probably lots of them pretty sexist but I did not listen to the show but heard about it from friends or TV. I have always respected her for the smarts, incredible work and the guts to do that. Now I find myself wondering how someone jumps into the fire like she did and does not remember those who helped or supported her? That is one very large character flaw. Either that help means very little to her or she does not care to be honest when she thinks a lie would get her in a better position, no matter what kind of pain or loss her lie might inflict on someone who actually helped her.
Honesty in someone running things for us is important to me. Even more so when running our country. I assume everyone feels that way, right?
