I was taking a short seminar given by a fairly well-known paranormal investigator in our area at the time. I came home one night from one of the sessions and the phone almost immediately rang. There was nothing but fuzz on the other end, some words in the distance maybe that I could not make out. I hung up the phone and picked it back up again and my mother was on the other end. I asked her if she had just tried to call and had a bad connection and she said no, that she had just dialed and I picked up without so much as a ring on her end.
That night I had a dream of a friend who had committed suicide several years before. I wasn't even thinking of this woman at the time. In the dream we were in a park we were both familiar with and she stood on one side of the sidewalk and I and another friend, who was very close to this lady, stood on the other. It was like we could not cross that sidewalk to where she was just barley in the park. She was absolutely glowing, it was like a golden aura surrounding her, she was very beautiful. She simply smiled at us and we smiled back at her. No words were spoken between us, just smiles shared.
I made sure to tell my living friend from the dream about this, but she didn't seem to quite get it that our friend was fine. I really believe the phone call was from her and she picked me because I was open due to the seminar I was currently attending and she really wanted to make sure her good friend that was with me knew she was ok. This is actually one of the few incidences in my life that I consider paranormal. It was beautiful.
