We saw WWII, FDR, Harry Truman (who was most unpopular when he left office, though he's considered a hero today), the Eisenhower days, when our current highway system was and other infrastructure was constructed, (though I was an ardent Adlai Stevenson fan).
Brokenhearted when our President JFK was assassinated, and our world did changed significantly after that.

The chaos of our current administration is so clearly dysfunctional and we've learned in our many years that orderliness does indeed bring a more serene life, so that we can go about the matters that mean the most to us, without constantly being distracted.
