Why would a woman wear big bulky rings on every finger [View all]

I just noticed my therapist's hands the other day, and she has a big bulky ring on almost every finger. She is very young. I like rings, but would never wear more than 2, unless it was some kind of a dress up party maybe. I see some entertainers do it, but they are going for an over-the-top look. I guess it boils down to wanting to enhance beauty or be ostentatious.
