I drive Uber/Lyft. Picked up someone from a Volvo dealership. Owns a XC-90 Recharge. Said it was the best car they had ever owned. Told me he got 1200 miles on a tank of gas. It only has a 32 mile range on battery. Of course this means that most of their daily driving is within that 32 mile range.

Just did a quick scan of available plug in hybrids and the range is typically 30 miles. 30 miles of driving like an EV. then it reverts to a regular Hybrid car using gas. Sounds like a reasonable choice for those wanting to get away from fossil fuels but worry about where they would get recharged on a trip to Florida.
