(15,222 posts)Look, disagreement is a healthy thing for the most part. DU used to have healthy disagreement. Now, it's turned to ugliness and cynicism when posters disagree with the mass majority. In my opinion, I see a lot more ugly remarks coming from Sanders supporters than Clinton supporters.
The fact that I choose to support Hillary should be respected on a Democratic discussion board. I have, personally, not disrespected anyone who dares disagree with my choice, and I should be able to expect the same consideration on here. Unfortunately, it's not the case.
Hillary has proven time and time again that she is a fighter for issues that are important to me. Her plan and ideas are more reasonable and realistic than Sanders are in my opinion. Hillary understands that she must ask for the reasonable. Not promise the stars knowing full well that she cannot deliver.
It's all well and good for Senator Sanders to address issues of income inequality, health care, etc., but if it were as easy as he makes it appear to implement those ideas, President Obama would most assuredly have accomplished a whole lot more in his eight years in office. The stark reality is that the office of President is only one part of an interactive government, and the individual holding that office will never get his/her way on all issues.
