Because no amount of salesmanship or wishful thinking changes the harsh facts of economic life for some of us.

I wanted to spend my and their time productively, and was most definite on that point, telling them all the various methods I had tried in the past to get such coverage, and why it had not happened.

Feeling cautiously optimistic that all will go smoothly, not luxuriously, but just as most of us have planned our lives to be. That one does not get to escape certain limits just because one wants them to be so - such as a sales pitch that is unrealistic.

They were down to earth, plain talking. For those with more money to spend other things were offered. For the rest of us watching our pennies, they were ready to help and didn't thumb their noses at it.

So all in all, my foray was successful.
