25. My cousin's wife said she met a ghost when she was a little girl

She's from Thailand where apparently ghosts are almost universally accepted as real. She's superstitious and chews you out if you're in her home and knock on or hit something made of wood after dark because it supposedly calls forth the "poopi pissa" (spelling?), an evil demon.

When she was a little girl playing in the back yard of a house her parents had just moved into, she met another little girl and played with her for several days. One day she brought up the little girl to her parents and they spoke about her to the neighbors. The neighbors asked her about the little girl and my cousin's wife described her as someone who looked just like a little girl who used to live in that house and who had died when she fell down a well. She had the same name and my cousin's wife identified a little girl in a photograph as the one she had played with for several days in the back yard. There were no other little girls that age living in the neighborhood.
