So today I had lunch with old friends. [View all]

There were 5 women who were freshmen in college together in the fall of 1967. Yes, we are that old. Three of us met first as we were assigned to the same "quad" in the dorm that year, the other two were in another dorm. There were three guys, one who is married to one of those three, two other husbands who did not attend that same college. It is a treat to remember old times together, to update on others who were not present. Two of us are breast cancer survivors. Two of the guys are VietNam vets so the discussed VA health care.
We talked about children, grandchildren, gardens, gathering again in the fall at the college for Homecoming and we ignored current events. That was OK, it was nice to just visit and remember what many of us shared long ago.
