This rock teaches me a lesson... [View all]

I keep it in my bedroom by the window I look out to plan the day. It was a rock that sat in a sheltered corner, under the eaves of our old farmhouse, there was no guttering on the home. The corner was at the junction of two parts of the roof forming that characteristic V in the line of the roof. Water ran freely down that cascade line unto the rock sitting there. It stayed in that spot as long as I can remember, I took it with me when we moved from the farm.
The water wore that hole through the rock over time. Over time, that was the thing. Patience.
