Take a stand. Lucky or me. I know how this will go. [View all]

OBJECTIVE facts/situation: I'm at the beck and call of this yes/faithful being/fellow-animal/dog. When I'm absent, it's because I need to go about somewhat of a life and so does he. So I see all these YouTubes about "dogs" (if we have to attach a name/label) who lovingly, eagerly, ecstaticaly greet their humanoid companions. Not *always* in my experience, which is what we're talking about here.

MITIGATING facts for BOTH parties: Remember that innumerable beings suffer way more than this companion being. And said defendant "Lucky" as often as not greets well and in some measure only sometimes non-greets.

*** So in real time: I arrive at a reasonable hour and greet out, "Lucky, I'm home!" Nothing. I continue, "Am looking for a Lucky. Gonna find a dog named Lucky. Here I come, hide and seek!"

Nothing. Passive aggressive going on, fine. I go about the transition from outside attire to home deshabille, ending up in the inner lair, and fine, there is Teh Lucky, now happily tail wagging.

So, apparently the key to relationships is to let some things pass.
