It is worse than Vietnam in terms of its potential to set off a civil war situation. Back in Vietnam days people were not exactly as polarized and crazy as we are now. The country was more stable and prosperous then. Today people are more desperate and poor and left out of the benefits they deserve. Sensationalist and extremist forces have stirred this country up and not in a good way.
