It may not be entirely what you meant by this, but it's belittling to those of us who struggled for years to actually be married under the law. Also, Putin is a violent authoritarian who has enabled the murder of homosexual and trans men in Chechnya under the leadership of Ramzan Kadyrov (who encouraged families to kill their gay relatives so the state wouldn't have to).
