2. I don't know about elsewhere but here in the US

Any problem with the food supply falls on us for letting the oligarchs that control food production do what they have done in the past several decades. They will not spend money on sensible preparations for such a thing. They would rather run it into the ground, make as much as they can, and then just leave the ruins and move to another country. Wash, rinse, repeat. Healthcare and food production are things that should not be solely for-profit. And, we are paying the price for it every day. It will only get worse. We don't want to stop the greed train, so...
