(3,622 posts)There was a leadership vacuum at P&G because of McDonald. He got rid of anyone in the upper echelons of P&G and that is why the Board of Directors brought back A.G. Lafley. McDonald is a ring knocker from West Point. He is arrogant and didn't understand the culture of P&G. McDonald was not as bad as Durk Jager but he was close.
As far as both Senators go, Portman is a republican and if you are endorsing Portman I would have to question your loyalty to things Democratic Party. I do know a lot of "moderate" to "conservative" Democrats in the Cincinnati area. It looks like Sherrod Brown is not going to make waves with Obama, no surprise there. For the most part I agreed with Brown on most issues but there have been several situations I have disagreed with him and this is one of them.
So your a lifetime resident of Cincinnati. That's nice. We have been in the area since 1988. When we retire we are out of this cesspool. My wife is a current employee of P&G and was under the "leadership" of McDonald. When McDonald left the company there was a collective sigh of relief within the company or at least the technical centers and more than likely at GO.
