who tried to legislate the ocean so that it would not indicate how bad climate change is getting. You expect my home state to understand that this is connected to the damage to the environment? They elected Jesse Helms for decades... brain power is not exactly at a premium... which is amazing when you remember that Research Triangle Park is there, among other things. But, as a friend once stated about the people who work there, "They must not be from around here!"
