The entirely complicit GOP bears the blame for this too, They knowingly refused to hear evidence or to convict him.

They have repeatedly remained silent when Trump refused to lead or disparaged those who demanded responsible governance from the office of the President or federal agencies.
They have encouraged false beliefs, Qanon conspiracy theories, and obstructed professional analysis and response to the pandemic.

53 Senators and 198 House members at least bear direct responsibility, along with equally numerous Cabinet heads and department officials. Add to this those Governors and state legislators who have piled on in support of GOP policies and Trumpian excuses.

This is certainly and undeniably not only Trump's fault.
