I would really like that statement to be true, but I now know that you can never believe what he says.
I am going to think of it as yet another tactic or strategy, maybe to get "poor little me" sympathy from his base and to shock them and feel sorry for their great predator...I mean President.
Playing an underdog like that could evoke a response from Republicans that we might not expect.
Never, ever, ever trust anything a confidence man says. I don't see him as being reformed or recalcitrant for playing this reality TV character on us all and the trail of tears and damage he has left behind is a good reason not to. When it is over and he is gone, that's the proof in the pudding.
We'll see.
