Fox News anchor Chris Wallace tore into White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Sunday morning for questioning the religious beliefs and faith of White House reporters, saying hes never seen a press secretary act like that in his long career.
Following President Donald Trumps Friday announcement in which he demanded that all houses of worship reopen right now and toothlessly threatened to override governors who have limited gatherings due to coronavirus restrictions, McEnany took a snide shot at the press corps.
Asked what federal powers Trump had to force states to open up places of worship during the pandemic, McEnany said the president would strongly encourage the governors that churches are essential before snarking that she found it interesting to be in a room that desperately wants to seem to see these churches and houses of worship stay closed.

Before joining Fox in 2003, Wallace worked for NBC from 1975 to 1988 (and was moderator of
Meet the Press from 1987-88) and ABC from 1989 to 2003. When he was hired in 2003, the right wing Media Research Center called Wallace "
an ABCer with a Liberal Record" who "delivered a pretty conventional liberal media take on such issues as welfare reform and the environment" during the mid-90s for ABC.
Although FNC's opinion shows like Hannity and Carlson can be heavily slanted and even conspiracy peddling, at least the news shows on FNC have standards. Shepard Smith was also known to challenge the popular right wing narratives before leaving FNC last year.
