Trump's approval rating on coronavirus response hits new low

With all the evidence to the contrary, how can his approval rating for dealing with the pandemic be so high?

Don't they understand that big number of deaths, his PPE mishandling, his snake oil salesman efforts? Hydroxychloroquine, bleach, UV light? 'It will just go away by itself' statements?

I'm sure some of those in the 39% will change their minds if they, or someone they know, ends up catching the virus.

Australia: 102 deaths in the whole country. Not per day, not per week, but TOTAL.

No new cases in the state I'm in for a month now.

Was the response here adequate? If asked, would 61% say the response was mishandled?
