Additional video footage surfaces in Ahmaud Arbery shooting [View all]

Source: New York Daily News

Investigators are using additional video footage to reconstruct the February afternoon that Ahmaud Arbery was fatally shot in a quiet southern Georgia neighborhood.

A video taped near the shooting shows a man, apparently Arbery, briefly entering the garage of a home under construction, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which published the clip.

Lawyers for Arbery’s family said in a statement that the video “is consistent with the evidence already known to us.”

The statement from attorneys S. Lee Merritt, Ben Crump and L. Chris Stewart said, in part, “Ahmaud Arbery was out for a jog. He stopped by a property under construction where he engaged in no illegal activity and remained for only a brief period. Ahmaud did not take anything from the construction site. He did not cause any damage to the property.”
