(229 posts)4. Its been a mess for years with food and prescription drug shortages, kids starving in shanty towns
the industrialist libertarians have been doing everything they can to keep socialism from taking root. The government has corruption problems and is really a mess generally. The people are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The US was involved in the 2002 failed coup attempt to remove left-populist president Hugo Chavez & have no doubt they are still involved in this mess.

It hasnt been a democratic country for YEARS. A true free vote hasnt been held for a long time.
