This type of demonizing the Dems would have undermined any attempts to govern by the next administration. If you listen to staunch Repubs you get the feeling that under no circumstances would they allow a Democrat to govern effectively regardless of election results.

I'm beginning to feel like we need a divorce in this country. Abolish the electoral college and let's figure out who's paying the taxes and keep tax revenue's mostly local. Let the staunch Repub areas fend for themselves. They want low taxes then they get poor roads and poor educations systems, poor health-care systems and the poor economy that goes with them. Know this is rather harsh but you can't stay in an abusive relationship.
