So, did something change between then and now? Has he publicly withdrawn his support? Genuinely asking.
Also..aren't we supposed to be all for criminal justice / police reform? In Feb 2016 -- right around the height of police involved shootings, Mello introduced a bill that would allow police to withhold body cam footage from the public if it's not part of the investigation-- we all know that for full and fair accountability, all available footage must be released. So I'm having a really hard time understanding exactly what being a "true progressive" is all about. And I'm baffled by Bernie's sudden willingness to compromise on ideas since throughout the entire campaign, compromise was a no no.
