Trump's popularity hovers a little below 40% but doesn't get much lower. [View all]

The Republicans will never move on Trump unless that number drops a lot more.
All the scandals so far are only circumstantial involving his associates. There's nothing solid to pin on Trump personally .

Will they ever present solid, documented evidence that implicates Trump directly?
If they don't I'm not sure that the 40% will ever drop much lower.

In 2018 Republicans will still hold the Senate, mathematically it's virtually impossible for Democrats to take over, and that could mean a full 4 years of Trump. Could the country survive that?

I can't feel complacent because we aren't nearly out of the woods yet.
