In addition to what is already in place, our party could benefit from some new leaders, new ideas, new outreach, and, above all, some new backbone.

There are many Democrats who are openly hostile toward anyone who doesn't toe the traditional party line, but unless some attitudes change, I believe a new party is going to emerge that will gain a tremendous amount of national support.
