Black Houston doctor: Delta flight attendant didn't believe I was a doctor [View all]

Not. The. Onion.

http://www.sfgate.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Black-Houston-doctor-Delta-flight-attendant-9969898.php

Tamika Cross is a black doctor in Houston, but as she was flying back home from Detroit, she alleges that a Delta flight attendant was discriminating against her because of her race....

"I'm sure many of my fellow young, corporate America working women of color can all understand my frustration when I say I'm sick of being disrespected," Cross begins her Facebook post.

She continues to explain the situation saying that the flight attendant allegedly gave her a slew of questions to validate her credibility as a doctor, only to go with a "seasoned white male" who said he was a doctor.

"She says to me 'thanks for your help but he can help us, and he has his credentials.' (Mind you, he hasn't shown anything to her. Just showed up and fit the 'description of a doctor')," Cross writes in her post that has gone viral with over 27,000 shares since Sunday.

Gosh, I love our post-racial society!

From City Slickers:

Billy Crystal: "So where are you from?"

Black guy: "Baltimore. We have a dental practice there."

Crystal: (blank stare)

Black guy: "We're black, and we're dentists."
