8. Remember when everybody was promoting spinach 'for the iron'?

And who can forget Popeye eating his spinach for strength.

It was all hooey. My brother told me that spinach's high iron levels went unchecked for a long time until somebody discovered they put the decimal point in the wrong place in the original research.
