A better understanding of the prevalence of "Corporate Democrats" (POLL) [View all]

That there are Corporate Republicans is beyond doubt -- consider, for example, The Club for Growth. But lately I have been wondering if there are likewise a notable amount of "Corporate Democrats." Democrats who want not to "Occupy Wall Street," but instead to befriend. Democrats who have no problem with Democratic politicians being paid extraordinary sums to speak before gigantic banks. Democrats with a ready sympathy for the 1%, believing one of the important tasks of government should be to alleviate the hardships the 1% face. Democrats who give special consideration to candidates who are themselves from the 1%, as such candidates are in a better position to relate to these hardships (e.g., the difficulty in finding that very rare hair stylist who can give exquisite $600 haircuts).

As I have thought about all this, I have noted that at DU I have never observed any post whose author I would suspect is indeed a Corporate Democrat. But now I wonder: Are any Corporate Democrats at DU keeping their sympathies toward Wall Street a highly guarded secret? Is it that, for example, they fear scorn from other Democrats should their Wall Street sympathies come out? Should Democratic Underground be more welcoming to any Corporate Democrats?

So I offer a quick poll:

Would you consider yourself to be a Corporate Democrat?
