The old owner should be grateful her cat was taken care of well instead of finding its way into a gas chamber at a shelter.

The cat is the property of the orignal owner unless there is some statute to the contrary. nt

It's selfish to want the cat back after 7 years, imo, unless if the cat has a bad home.
