The rest of the US will be better off without seafood, high technology and people like Bill Clinton. After all we don't have universities like Vanderbilt, Emory, Duke or some of those other pesky institutes of higher learning. There is no Southern Poverty Law Center here.

Can we just leave the South bashing off? I will give you all our tornadoes. We are seriously fighting against poverty and ignorance and succeeding but we need help from out neighbors from the North. Not scorn and ridicule. Some parts are as bad as you think but the large majority isn't. But stereotyping us is as hypocritical as equating all Italians as Tony Soprano. You can come up with your own examples.
