(2,983 posts)I do appreciate our President. I can do so though, while having very strong doubts regarding this new trade deal. It's pretty damn great to have health insurance, after going ten years without it.
That being said.... those of us who are objecting to this trade deal, to appointments Obama made, to other things this administration has done - probably do not (at least, not generally speaking) actually hate the President. They may be disappointed because they expected him to do some things differently. No voter I knew though (and certainly not me) who supported Obama was looking for a "Messiah". We were, however, looking for a Political leader who could help move our Country and our lives in the right direction. I believe he has largely done so, in many ways.
That does not make him exempt from criticism, from skepticism, from doubt, or from the accountability that those who voted for him are expecting.
I appreciate our President, I appreciate the hell out of the good things he has done - but I still want full documentation on this trade deal, I don't trust it, I don't trust most of the people pushing it, and as much as I do appreciate the President, I cannot simply take his word that this will be a good thing. Don't tell me. Show me.
