say that DU is not very progressive, and GD is definitely not progressive. There are some really nasty people on DU who seem to only exist to be mean to others, but you can't really escape that when on the internet. They are everywhere on the internet. I am glad DU has features such as trash thread and ignore list. I use them quite frequently and they make the stay here at DU much more pleasant.
