In reply to the discussion: Who here has had the flu this season? [View all]Warpy
(111,397 posts)7. Got the shot.
My "flu" this week, 6 weeks post shot, consisted of six hours of high fever and body aches, about 20 hours of solid sleep punctuated by pee breaks and nothing else, 3 days of feeling a little subpar, and a whopping case of diarrhea. Now I'm just fine.
I'm not really calling it the flu. I'm calling it another case of "was that the flu?"
Either the shot or prior immunity or a combination made it an extremely mild case.
And yes, flu is epidemic in this state.

Use hand wipes on your desk phone's receiver if other people are likely to have been using it, too.

Why NOT get the flu shot if you don't have any specific health problem with the vaccine?
