It was not the "blue berries" in the tomato soup that brought this charge against Perry as Perry as said, it was the tomato soup. The special prosecutor was a republican and the make-up of the grand jury was majority republican. Two other District Attorneys were charged with drunk driving, one the second time for driving wrong way on street, both were republican, and Perry took no action against them. Plus he offered the Austin DA other positions if she'd resign. This is all about protecting a major contributor who gave him over $400,000 dollars and got funding for a project without proper approval. This whole mess was headed for the Public Integrity unit and Perry was doing everything to head off the investigation. Perry for President, I think not, his goose is cooked!
