6. Going South?

I wonder how many children are heading south? Costa Rica is a modern safe and vibrant country with good health care, economy, and education. The language barrier would be minimal.
Panama is not idillic but is much better than where the children are coming from.

This is also the other side of the double edge. If we have a direct hand in shaping their countries then you have to take the responsibilties for all of our actions. If they want us out, then it needs to be out 100% and they have to take the responsibilities.
It seems to have worked pretty good for many countries.

Found one of my answers:

"Notably, these children are not just arriving to the U.S. in search of protection. UNHCR documented an increase of 432 percent in asylum requests in the neighboring countries of Belize, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Mexico. Despite being one of the poorest countries in Latin America, Nicaragua alone saw an increase in asylum requests of 240 percent between 2012 and 2013."
