This is a horrible thing that happened while most of the world (I'm not talking intelligence and world leaders) was totally unaware of this. It is nothing that compares with Operation paperclip, and other operations to get japanese scientists who worked on bio weapons.
These actions happened after the fact. We knew these people were directly responsible for countless deaths. Kill 100 of thousands in slave labor? No problem, because you worked on the ME-262, or V1, V2 etc.
