Expletive-laden OP's get lots of recs but are not productive [View all]

I sometimes wonder if those who like to 'let loose' on a regular or semi-regular basis realize the potential damage they could be doing to our cause. Independents and the few remaining moderate Republicans who visit our site should not be subjected to profanity at the top of the Greatest Page, imho. Just a thought (for those posting and those reccing).. Sure, it feels good to let it out and to get a bunch of recs for doing so - or to give a knee-jerk rec - but how about the potential for turning new visitors off who might otherwise stick around long enough to learn something? Be smart, that's all I'm trying to say.
