I voted no, which is a vote FOR compromise, as far as I can tell.
Anyway, I figure he has to do something if this comes down to the last hours and Boehner's still being an ass. The problem is that the debt ceiling is in fact a nuclear bomb. The idea would be to show that Boehner was willing to actually blow up the economy just to save his orangey ass, and Obama wasn't, and then campaign like mad against the GOP next year on the fact they were willing to destroy us to get their way.
It's awful, but if it comes down to it, it's the only thing he can do.
