In reply to the discussion: Poll: What is your prediction to what the verdict will be? [View all]Tx4obama
(36,974 posts)13. I think the judge will wrap it up tomorrow
The Prosecution's closing argument today was only around 2 1/2 hours long.
So, even if the Defense takes say 4 to 5 hours (tomorrow morning/afternoon) and the prosecution's rebuttal is 1 to 2 hours - then there'd still be plenty of time to read the jury instructions.
This judge doesn't want to keep the jury sequestered longer than she has too.

Edited to add...
In the Jodi Arias trial in Arizona they couldn't hold court on Fridays. But they can in Florida and I think it's even possible that the jury could deliberate on Saturday - cause they said if the jury reached a decision on the weekend then the judge would allow the verdict to be read on the weekend.

Couldn't decide between guilty of 2nd degree or outright acquittal so went with Manslaughter.

I believe he is guilty, but they need 6 non-Fox, non-racist, and non-Limbaugh jurors...

It should be 1st Degree. It was clearly pre-meditated. He just wanted to kill a "negro".

I predict the jury will say "Manslaughter". Zimmerman should get the top charge but from press

I think it will be a hung jury. Prosecution did a lousy job. I voted manslaughter.
