after all the impeachment dust settles to moderate those people and gather them back under the old party wing. Look for a media blitz starting around this spring with a lot of patriotic bullshit, flag-waving and Reagan-ish anti-government/anti-tax crap along with "only we can fix the deficit." Then, they will throw tRump under the bus.

If they're smart at all, they should try to put a damper on all the fury, resentment and Q-bullshit tRump allowed to fester for so long.

I really doubt if their true core (millionaire class) thinks tRump could win again in 2024 and they likely don't want to risk dealing with his insane behavior again. The Party truly is seriously fractured right now, but the billionaires always come through.

But, I've learned to never assume anything reasonable about Republicans. They never fail to fit the true profile of a trainload of psychopaths and as such, are unpredictable.

But you're right - they really are afraid of being shot by some wild-card MAGAt.
